Bill was really great and his examples greatly enhanced my understanding of the material.

Good course , very informative and useful. Looking forward to the exam.
Some constructive feedback:
if the trainer stayed relevant to the topic of the course material and not mainly focus on examples relating to his life experiences that’ll be great. it was extremely difficult to follow sometimes. absolute gent of a man , but course-wise, this did not help at all. Other colleagues on the course agree with this also.

Bill was highly enthusiastic and you could tell he really loved talking about the course content, his efforts are greatly appreciated and he clearly seems like an incredibly valuable person. I couldn’t ask for a more communicative and personable trainer.
However, I always struggled at school and University with lectures, and this was simply a 3 day long lecture, and it doesn’t matter how enthusiastic the trainer is, the course was death by PowerPoint, over 380 pages of it. I’d recommend changing the course to be more hands on and practical, Bill’s enthusiasm and knowledge would absolutely thrive in a position where we can practice these concepts with his help. The best way to learn how to do something is to do it. You don’t read a Lego models building manual from front to back before you t building it.
I don’t know if you administer the exam or not, if so, scrap it, I could talk for days about the inefficiency of “exams”. but if not, don’t worry.

Informative, and to the point. The slides provided to the presenter contained some unclear information but other than that everything was fine.

Engagingly delivered but some unfamiliarity with course content

Course was very thorough, Karen tried her best to keep us engaged but I reckon the material could be updated slightly to make it more engaging at times.

Having no experience for testing in my new role. I read up on the slides prior and felt abit overwhelmed, through doing this course I feel so much more at ease. The course was very engaging and Karen aided in further understanding. Whilst I’m not 100% on the techniques I now know how to apply this and I will take this home for further revision.

The course was very informative and very educative

The course was helpful and very informative. Rosie was lovely. I felt, however, that the course content would have benefited from a different approach in terms of delivery.
For instance, I felt that we could have looked at some examples of real world testing – test scripts, cases and scenarios to help link our knowledge to the course.
Moreover, I felt that it was highly academic and abstract and the ISTQB syllabus included things – test management especially – which seems beyond the scope of a beginner.

John was great. He ensured every area was fully covered, allowed plenty of time to ask questions and check our understanding of topics. I was surprised how much information was covered, and it was a lot more intense than expected, but John clearly did something right as I passed my exam this morning!

Angelina did a fantastic job to explain heavy terminology I haven’t been met with before, give us hints and tips into how to read the exam questions and what to pay attention for, and could not have followed the syllabus without her.
I found the course itself very heavy and the 3 days allocated time to go through this too short.

Dear Angelina,
Many thanks for generously sharing your valuable knowledge!
I truly enjoyed the course – particularly the engaging manner in which the information was presented. Your openness to questions created a safe space for discussion, and I felt confident participating in the conversations. The overall atmosphere was both comfortable and welcoming, and you expertly guided us through the learning materials.
I’d like to offer a few humble suggestions that might help enhance the learning experience:
– Some PowerPoint examples – such as State Transitions and Boundary Value Analysis – felt a bit unclear. I struggled to follow them, and others in the team had similar impressions. That said, I really enjoyed the examples using HTML from the BBC and NASA websites – they were memorable!
– On the third day, we ran out of time and had to rush through the remaining ‘dry’ material, which was presented with quick slide scrolling.
– The Exam Simulator was extremely useful, but I noticed a few bugs and incorrect answers that made me question the reliability of the tool. Some screenshots were captured during the training session. I hope this will be considered and improved.
– Terminology is important in the academic context, so it was a bit frustrating to encounter inconsistencies between the course content and the Exam Simulator (e.g., ‘Quadrants’ had no glossary definition).
– During the last minutes of the third-day session, we came across unfamiliar terms like ‘burndown chart’ while reviewing exam questions. It left me with the impression that some required materials were still buried in the syllabus documentation.
– Certain terms such as ‘volume testing’, ‘rattle testing’, and ‘sanity check’ were mentioned without explanation. That said, hearing about them is still helpful and gives me ideas on how to better prepare for the exam.
Overall, I’m very pleased with the course. Thank you once again for your professionalism, dedication, and for sharing your experience – it was genuinely appreciated. I hope to join the ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer course in the future when the opportunity arises.
Kind regards and best wishes,
Bohdan

Angelina was really good going through the course given the amount of subject matter in the course and the time frame. Angelina was very helpful and knowledgeable about the course and able to break it all down to make it easier to understand.
